Community
Needs Fund
By giving
to the Sierra Madre Community Foundation's unrestricted endowment,
you essentially hire expert volunteers and staff to direct
your gifts in Sierra Madre where they're sure to do the most
good. It's our job to know the needs of the community. And
with the collective knowledge of our Advisory Board, you can
be sure that grants made in your name will have as much impact
years from now as they have today.
Field
of Interest Fund
Interest Fund allows you to direct your giving as narrowly
or as broadly as you choose. Whether your interest is in fostering
the arts, literacy or providing support to low-income children,
you can depend on the Sierra Madre Community Foundation to
carry out your wishes. The fields of interest are: Health
and General Welfare, Education, Learning and the Arts, History
& Cultural Heritage, Environment, Recreation, and Disaster
Relief.
Charitable
Beneficiary Fund
For a Charitable Beneficiary Fund, you tell us to send the
income from your current gift or bequest to the charities
of your choice in Sierra Madre, specifying the amounts or
percentages to each. Grants are then distributed annually
from the fund. And, if one of those organizations ceases to
exist or stops providing the type of services that interested
you in the first place, SMCF will make sure your gift stays
current by finding another local agency that fulfills your
original charitable intent.
Donor
Advised Fund
A Donor
Advised Fund is considered one of the most effective alternatives
to creating a private foundation, with key advantages in lower
administration costs and investment advice. When it comes
to grant making, you provide us with your written recommendations
as to when and where you'd like your money to go in the Sierra
Madre area.
Scholarship
Fund
The California Community Foundation has extensive experience
administering scholarships for students throughout the state.
Flexibility allows us to meet the students' greatest needs.
Scholarships may be for any education level you specify.
